Howdy farmers, welcome to the Bumpkin’s Almanac, your daily digest for the #1 Web3 farming game, Sunflower Land. This issue is for Tuesday, February 25th, 2025.

Yesterday was the beginning of the much talked-about Ronin recruitment drive. In an effort to bring in more players from another major blockchain network, the developers have enticed players from that system into Sunflorea with powerful, unique NFTs that will give them a head-start on their new farm. The first result of that effort is there are a LOT more players prowling around the Plaza and the other zones!

About the only major issue to deal with in a crowded Plaza is being able to reach the Gift Giver, as you end up clicking on other players nearby instead of them. Every other NPC is “solid,” meaning no player can occupy the same pixels as them, so you will always be able to make a delivery no matter how many other players are trying to do the same.

The Dig Site has also been optimized to allow multiple players at once. You’ve probably noticed that as soon as you set foot on the diggable squares, all the other players vanish and appear on the edges of the fence. This lets you dig without anyone being in your way, but the really clever part is that every player experiences this, meaning you’re at the edge of the fence for everyone else!

If you’re still feeling overwhelmed by all the other farmers running around, don’t forget that you can easily switch to another server anytime you’re away from your farm. In the Game Options menu, select Plaza Settings, then Change server. You’ll remain where you are on the map, but (most) everyone around you will vanish!

Bumpkin Bazaar is the primary server, and while it says it’s for Trading, you can still access the Marketplace and make trades even if you’re on one of the other three. There are still players wandering around, but as you can see from the capacity chart, there are only a fraction. One thing you will likely miss out on is the Gift Giver, as they usually only appear on the Bazaar server.
