Fourth Day of Winter, and Coin Strategies

Howdy farmers, welcome to the Bumpkin’s Almanac, your daily digest for the #1 Web3 farming game, Sunflower Land. This issue is for Thursday, March 6th, 2025.

Today is a Double Delivery Day! Did you save up your goods to get the most you can out of them? It’s worth it, especially for the Goblin SFL deliveries. Not sure how much they will be worth when the FLOWER transition comes, but we’ll see. It’s also worth it to save up your wood and stone for the Blacksmith, or the crops of the day for Betty, to get as many Coins as you can from each of them.

Another great way to get Coins is to exchange some SFL. While you can do that from the in-game menu directly, the conversion rate isn’t very good. Especially now that the USD price of SFL has more than tripled in recent weeks!

The best way to get coins is to sell crops and fruits to Betty. But you don’t necessarily have to grow them yourself... SFL.world has (as usual) an excellent tool to help you navigate the world of SFL to Coin arbitrage. Use the link above to jump straight to this page.

It looks a little overwhelming at first, but basically what you want to find is the crop or fruit that has the greatest difference between it’s SFL cost and sell price as compared to the standard exchange. The header on the page uses the ratio 1 SFL to 320 coins, but it’s even less now, earning you 160 coins per single SFL!

For the best crop to buy with SFL and sell for Coins, find the row with the lowest negative percentage (Betty, highlighted green). In the example above, you would want to buy Parsnips, since they’re slightly lower than Soybeans. If you bought 30 SFL worth of them at these prices, you would be able to get 2063 (rounded down, since you can only buy whole units of any resource, and provided you can find someone selling 63 units in one listing), and then sell those at 6.5 coins each for a total of 13409.5.

That’s significantly more than the flat 8640 you would have gotten if you’d exchanged them directly. And, if you had picked up the Tier 2 Crop skill Coin Swindler, you would earn an extra 10%, making your total haul 14750.45! Keep in mind that skill only works on plot crops, not on fruits or greenhouse produce when those are the winners according to SFL.world’s charts. Either way, you’ll be rolling in coins in no time!

That’s all for today! Subscribe via email or RSS to make sure you never miss an issue. Be well, do good work, and farm on.
